Every year, the first week of October is dedicated as Mental Health Awareness Week to raise awareness and fight stigma. Whether directly or indirectly, mental health affects us all. Join us for the following events during the week.

Events

Graduate Student QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Training

QPR is intended to teach individuals how to recognize the warning signs of suicide including verbal, behavioral, and situational clues. It provides guidelines on how to question a person about suicidal thoughts, persuade them to get help and refer the person for help.

Speed Friending

Like speed dating, but with friends. Join our Mental Health Ambassadors to virtually connect with fellow students.

National Depression Screening Day

Take an online screening through the Counseling Center.

Meet Your Pack

Students log onto zoom with their pets for everyone to meet (can be a picture if their pet is not at their current residence).

In place of our usual therapy dog events, we want to meet your pets. Join our MHAs and introduce us to your pack. Not currently living with your pet? Share a picture. All animals are welcome. Prepare to say awwww.

Pack Pals Program

Interested in making new connections? Sign-up to be paired with a fellow student pen pal. Exchanges will start in November through the winter break.
