Angel Bowers is the Director of Prevention Services at NC State University. In this role, she oversees a comprehensive set of initiatives, including CARES (case management for students of concern), mental health outreach and training, suicide prevention, harm reduction and recovery resources and the Mental Health Ambassadors Peer Education team.. With over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Supervisor, Angel ensures all prevention efforts are clinically and trauma-informed. A member of the Wolfpack family for over 20 years, she previously served as the Associate Director of the Counseling Center. Angel earned her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Wake Forest University and previously held roles at both Meredith College and Wake Forest Counseling Centers.
