Laurie Capps Bolster

Bio

Laurie Capps Bolster is a CARES Coordinator in Prevention Services. She originally joined the team in 2020 as Graduate Assistant, serving the Alcohol and Other Drugs Team and Pack Recovery. She received a bachelor’s in Psychology from Appalachian State University, a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University, and is currently a doctoral candidate studying Counseling and Counselor Education here at NC State. Laurie seeks to provide a nonjudgmental space for students to explore their values and experiences. She enjoys creating meaningful connections with the campus community to build a more supportive environment, increase access to services, and reduce harm.
