Bio

Lilly Neal (she/her) joined the Prevention Services team as a CARES Coordinator in Fall 2023. In her role, she works with students who may be experiencing a wide variety of challenges, barriers, and difficult adjustments. In partnership with students, she assists in creating action plans to connect students with community and campus resources for their overall well-being, mental health, and success.

Lilly obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Social Work from North Carolina State University (Go Pack!) and her Master of Science degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Lilly is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

Before joining the Prevention Services team, Lilly worked in community mental health as an outpatient therapist, school-based mental health therapist, and a community support team member, and in the substance use counseling field doing both individual and group counseling.

Lilly loves art, Animal Crossing, her pug Bubbles and her cat Gonzo, and all things NC State!
