Christy Sigmon

Bio

Christy Fiber Sigmon joined the Prevention team as an Outreach and Resilience Specialist in early 2023.  Christy has her Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) degree from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Towson University.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University where she also served as a scholarship athlete on the women’s tennis team.  She recently relocated to the greater RTP area with her family from California.  Christy most recently worked as a licensed psychologist in California providing therapeutic services to a diverse population including undergraduate and graduate college students attending the University of California, Davis.  She also worked for the State of California for over a decade providing mental health services including program development and evaluation.  Christy has a passion for facilitating access to care and providing outreach resources to vulnerable populations and the general student population at NC State.
