Bio
Laurie Capps Bolster is an Alcohol, Other Drug, and Recovery Coordinator in Prevention Services. She has been working in Prevention Services since 2020. She received a bachelor’s in Psychology from Appalachian State University, a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University, and is currently a doctoral candidate studying Counseling and Counselor Education here at NC State. Laurie also holds an LCMHCA. Laurie seeks to provide a nonjudgmental space for students to explore their values and experiences. She enjoys creating meaningful connections with the campus community to build a more supportive environment, increase access to services, and reduce harm regarding substance use and other behaviors.
