Rebecca Brown

Bio
Rebecca Brown joined the Prevention team as a CARES coordinator and case manager in fall 2022. In her role, she works with students who may be experiencing a wide variety of challenges, barriers, and difficult adjustments. In partnership with students, she assists in creating action plans to connect students with community and campus resources for their overall well-being, mental health, and success. Rebecca obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and Master of Social Work degree in clinical social work from University at Albany, State University of New York. She is also licensed as a clinical social worker. Rebecca most recently worked as a mental health counselor in the public school system serving students in K-8. Before moving to NC, Rebecca also worked as a school social worker in New York where the majority of her work focused on providing individual and group therapeutic services to neurodivergent students.
